The local radio committee in Greve has commissioned the neo-Nazi station Radio Oasen to receive public subsidies, the daily newspaper Berlingske Tidende reports Saturday.
The radio channel has previously been granted an automatic subsidy for local radio stations, but this caused politicians in the Danish parliament Folketinget to react. Many demanded that the Culture Minister take action and tighten the system, making subsidies dependant on whether the radio channel is an active part of Danish society.
The neo-Nazi radio station meets this requirement with the call-in programme "Press Conference" (Pressemøde). If Radio Oasen is not granted a subsidy on those grounds, many other radio stations won't be subsidised either, committee chairman Lars Kilhof says.
